Surrounded by stacks of timber offcuts and sawdust, Sophie Link carved out a new typology for learning and repair. Her project links a functioning timber merchant with a furniture repair studio and workshop for local residents, supporting a cycle of reuse, making, and skill-sharing. Every surface is made from leftover wood, every joint reconsidered for ease of reassembly. Sophie’s 1:1 testing focused on joinery, surface expression, and on-site fabrication. Her repair is grounded and democratic—a space for hands-on rebuilding that brings community and craft into material alignment.
